Children

RPC Preschool

Riverside Presbyterian Church Preschool provides a quality preschool experience for children ages three through five. Classes meet Monday through Friday.

Faith Formation

Sunday mornings, children preschool – 5th grade are invited to leave worship after the mini-message to participate in Faith Formation. The time is spent interacting with stories in the Bible to think about how they apply to them as children in today’s world. The activities are multi-sensory including art, music, games and cooking. On first Sundays, the children will come back to the sanctuary to participate in communion.

Ringers & Singers

The Riverside Singers children’s choir meets on Wednesdays from 4:15 to 4:45. The Riverside Ringers is a handchime group that meets each Wednesday from 4:45 to 5:15. Children who are not members of RPC are welcome to join either group. The ages range from 5 – 13 years. Both groups meet during the school year, but not during the summer.

Cub Scouts

RPC is the charter organization for Cub Scout Pack 24. All boys in first through fifth grade, who reside in the area roughly encompassing the Riverside-Brookfield High School district, or who attend RPC, are eligible to join.

Youth

Mission Trips Our youth participate in national and global mission trips. In 2023, they worked with Appalachian Service Project to help a home become warmer, safer and drier. See the photo video here:

Youth Group

RPC Youth Groups are open to all youth regardless of their religious background. Holiday parties, outings, and games are part of our regular programming. Youth group meetings and activities offer an opportunity for building friendships and providing support for one another. We participate in hands-on local and global mission projects. During our annual summer mission trip we serve people in need in various locations around the country. Bible study and discussions about issues affecting teenagers today help our youth to grow in faith and an understanding of God. Friends are always welcome. Days and times of our activities are listed in the calendar.

Boy Scouts

RPC has been the charter organization for Boy Scout Troop 24 since 1939.  The Pack 24 website is http://www.pack24riverside.org/.  Children from 5th grade through age 18 are eligible to join the Troop, which meets every Thursday evening in the RPC gym.  For more information about scouts contact the Pack 24 committee chair by email:  pack24riverside@gmail.com
